I tried to read this. I really did. I even got over the lame cover and the fact that the first character introduced was called Barry Fairbrother.
I tried hard to get over the continued and pointless/meaningless swearing.
But, about 16 pages in I still hadn't been given a reason to care.
I love the Harry Potter books and I loved J. K. Rowling's writing in the Harry Potter Series, but the Casual Vacancy really didn't work for me.
I think Jo should go back to writing about the Potterverse.
